ALS Society of Canda

During my time with ALS Canada, Facebook experienced a 10% increase in followers and the organization as a whole was ahead of its fundraising goal as of October 2019.

The 2019 "It's About Time" End of Year campaign generated the highest amount of donations to-date for an end of year campaign. It led to more than a 9% increase in digital donations and an 18% increase in number of donations. Some of my responsibilities and roles are outlined below.

Plane Pull To End ALS

  • Supporting in the creation of, and implementing the marketing plan for the event

  • Event-day coverage

  • Promoting partners and participants before the event

  • Developing copy for event promotion

  • Designing event-day signage, which included way-finding images, t-shirts and team signs

  • Support the creation of campaign videos with our chosen vendor

  • Create graphics to be used for ads at Billy Bishop Airport

Walk to End ALS

  • Develop and present How-To Social Media videos, including transcript for accessibility, for all the Walk coordinators and volunteers

  • Promote all 30 Walk locations to encourage registration

  • Support in the development of campaign videos with our chosen vendor

  • Support creative content development for PAID social media campaigns

  • Created print and digital designs

Every August Until a Cure

  • Support in the development of over 10 researcher-focused videos for the campaign

  • Coordinate webinar promotion for the month of August

  • Create consistent content for the month of August revolving around the EAUAC campaign

  • Support in email campaigns throughout the month

Giving Tuesday & EOY

  • Reach out to community members to involve them with the campaign

  • Coordinate newsletters throughout the month, including tax reminders

  • Publish blogs to support the campaign

  • Support the creation of
    Paid Ads

Additional Responsibilities

  • Coordinate certain messaging with PR team when needed

  • Support community events through online promotions

  • Work with partners team to support partnerships

  • Maintain the website and updated blog posts

  • Create graphic and video assets when needed

  • Template necessary documents, particularly for advocacy use

  • Create and support newsletter deployments for campaigns
